Hydrology
Streams in Muambong area include Tennere, Ehene, Wumelle and Chunge. All these streams take their rise around the Muanenguba highlands. The streams are mainly used for fishing. The Chungmendibe which takes its rise from Muambong itself supplies this area with pipe Bourne water. click on title to read article

Muambong Church Project
The Muambong Christian community is growing fast, to a point where it has outgrown the church built in the early seventies. When I observed this in 2007, I decided to initiate the building of a more modern and adequate house of worship (see Project doc.). The little effort I made, with the help of community labour (molded blocks, sand and gravel visible on project site), was so highly appreciated by the Bishop of Buea Diocese that he immediately submitted the project to Rome for approval. With Rome?s approval, he recently contributed 12,000,000 CFA francs to the project (see his attestation).

Settlement Pattern
The fact that the area is predominatly covered by forest, the people were formerly dispersed as every family concentrated in a particular area following ancestral line.click on title to read article

The Population
Muambong has an estimated population of 5000 people distributed over a surface area of about 16km?. click on title to read article

Vegatation
Muambong has the tropical rainforest vegetation. Due to the high temperatures and heavy rainfall all through the year, the soil is constantly moist, which permits the growth of trees.click on title to read article
